Huckabee Clueless on Iran NIE

By Taylor Marsh

For someone who is applying to be the U.S. commander in chief, Mike Huckabee certainly isn't ready for primetime.

Via Politico.com:

Kuhn: I don’t know to what extent you have been briefed or been able to take a look at the NIE report that came out yesterday ...

Huckabee: I’m sorry?

Kuhn: The NIE report, the National Intelligence Estimate on Iran. Have you been briefed or been able to take a look at it —

Huckabee: No.

Kuhn: Have you heard of the finding?

Huckabee: No. ... ..

Read the whole thing, because it doesn't get better from there. When it comes to national security and foreign policy, between Huckabee and Slick Mitt they don't have a brain cell between them. Remarkable.

Oh, but not to worry. Huckabee is likeable. We'll all be okay.

Or maybe not. Murray Waas exposes Huckabee's role in letting serial rapist go. It's not pretty.

Interesting that the one guy on the Republican side that has a clue about national security is having a hard time getting traction. The war hero John McCain is being traded in for Mike Huckabee and Mitt Romney. Now I don't like his politics, but he sure is a cut above. Says how far Republicans have fallen. Facade over foundational conservatism all because McCain isn't afraid of illegal immigrants. Bigots 'r us, that's the "modern" day GOP.

Snip

Amen sister Taylor. Of all the mental midgets scampering around the Republican stage, McCain is the only adult. Not that McCain isn't damaged goods, he is, but from time to time he is mature enough to be sensible. It does say nothing good that this pandering, compromised, thin-skinned, brittle man is the best the modern Republican party can offer.
