Iraq assures Iran over US pact
Iraq has sought to ease Iranian fears over a proposed US-Iraq security deal, reassuring Tehran that the pact will not be a danger to Iran.
The pledge was made by Nuri al-Maliki, the Iraqi prime minister, during his meetings with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the Iranian president, and other Iranian officials on Sunday.
