Teaching 2-year-old to box, Miami man kills son

McClatchy: "Lee Willie DeJesus told police he was trying to teach his son how to box.

So with the 2-year-old on a bed, DeJesus punched him over and over again, up to 15 times, according to a Miami-Dade police report.

The alleged attack took place Monday night inside a Homestead apartment. The boy, Willy Brown, underwent surgery at Miami Children's Hospital. Family members told Miami Herald news partner WFOR-CBS 4 that the boy died Tuesday afternoon.

DeJesus, 23, was in a Miami-Dade County jail, held on more than $57,000 bail and charged with aggravated child abuse and child neglect."
