Bike riding for peace

An Iranian couple have set off on a round-the-world cycle to promote peace and a positive image of their country. As reported on the BBC web site, http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/talking_point/6620007.stm the couple plan to spend two years pedaling around the world. They have a budget of about $18.00 a day. Seeing as good bike tire can set you back $20.00 or more, maybe they are being a bit optimistic. I wonder if they plan to pedal through Crawford Texas?
